Some light weight ballistics

5 rounds, @12kg:

30/30 snatches, 2min on, 1min off
40/40 swings, 2min on, 1min off

Total: 30min, 300 snatches, 400 swings

It was a good idea to do something "workout-like", timed sets, that is. At least I have a first goal now: regaining the grip-endurance I used to have :D

As for the close and distant future, some ideas that came to my mind (no special order):

TSC
Sig Klein Challenge (14 double dead clean & presses @12kg KB)
one arm pushup
32 snatches @24kg (Men's RKC test number for my weight)
weighted pistols for reps
something with LCCJ
tactical pullups
UST
Lady Beast Challenge
snatch 28kg (half my BW)
clean 32kg

Spoilt for choice :)

Spoilt for choice???

Gosh, I resemble that remark. Although I wish more of my more immediate choices were ones that'd be a little more balanced between my wallet and my waistline.

So bloody much to do, so bloody little time!

Looking forward to seeing you in August, Superwoman!

Chili cheese fries, when in doubt? :))
Just please, Doc, PLEASE, keep it easy on yourself, no emergency brake of a flu for August, okay? :)

I like those 30/30 snatch sets...I'll have to do them soon...this week...maybe today, lol!

And....one hand swings w/24? Wow, I can feeel my middle back just thinking about them.

Tracy,

I liked the 30/30 because that's the RKC snatch test number for the weight class above mine, and adding the time factor creates quite a pace, too, plus 30 reps/min doesn't allow any rest in the top position. Challenging but doable, however, I probably couldn't keep it up for the length of your crazy volume workouts :)

As for the heavy one hands, after all that endurance work @12kg during the preparation for the Cert I'd prefer to go heavier now... my back takes it alright, after swinging the Bulldog the 24 actually feels light, the weakest link right now seems to be my grip! Going for shorter sets and trying to stay on one side might be a way.
